Subpoena the air conditioner and the book
Trump blames Obama for the air conditioning.
Trump offered the new gripe about his predecessor as he explained in the Oval Office Friday why he’ll be spending some time at his New Jersey resort in August.
The president says “it’s never a vacation” when he goes to Bedminster, New Jersey, and that he would rather be at the White House.
He says that some of his time away from the White House gives crews time to do maintenance work.
He says, for example, “The Obama administration worked out a brand new air conditioning system for the West Wing. It was so good before they did the system. Now that they did this system, it’s freezing or hot.”
How would he know what the system was like before? It’s not as if they had him over for lunch every day.
Also he’s pretending to think Obama is as crooked as he is.
“We want to find out what happened with the last Democrat president,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, for no apparent reason. “Let’s look into Obama the way they have looked at me from day one. They looked into everything that we’ve done. They could look into the book deal that President Obama made. Let’s subpoena all of his records.”

Yes, it’s an outrage, both Obamas actually know how to write. Isn’t that unAmerican?
Trump knows all about writing books. You blather on for a few days to some lackey, and a few months later they slap a big beautiful picture of you on the cover and the money starts rolling in.
The air conditioning is of course being used as an easy-to-grasp example of “ what’s wrong with the Democrats.”
First, something is working fine; then, the know-it-alls come in to fix or “ improve” it; finally, the thing that used to be okay is now worse than it was before.
Everyone can personally relate to that in some way, but conservatives tend to extrapolate the scenario on to everything which smacks of “ progress.”. Air conditioning isn’t really the point. The approach is the issue. Implication is it’s all of a piece and we can infer the elitist liberals have and will do the same to government. So Trump doesn’t actually need to have a realistic comparison of White House temperature before and after. It’s a dog whistle; it’s a fable. It needn’t be literally true.
Whenever I hear someone wax eloquent and approving over the amazing power of Myth, I think yeah, but there’s a dark side to that.
As if neocons didn’t “look into” EVERYTHING, and quite a few made-up nothings about Obama, from birth through the end of his terms in office. If they’d found anything, you can be sure it would have been broadcast to the skies. They did it often enough with things that weren’t even true.
I’m surprised they didn’t launch an “investigation” into the tan suit. How did it happen that a president could have worn a tan suit? Who was behind the conspiracy to violate the dignity of the office in such a way? What was the Democrat’s agenda?
Not to mention when he casually leaned against the desk in the Oval Office (a pose not uncommon with Reagan, but hey, Reagan was a white, red-blooded American male Republican. Obama checks only one of those boxes [technically two, since his blood is as red as everyone else, but the meaning of that phrase is something they would not agree that Obama meets).
