Sorry female athletes, sucks to be you
Trans girls are girls.
No one is hurt when trans people live authentically.
Not in the restroom.
Not in the locker room.
Not on the court, field or track. We stand in solidarity with all trans people. pic.twitter.com/HcpuOmT3BJ

I hope the ACLU of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Colorado, California et al. knows better than that.
What the hell does it mean to “live authentically”? Or is that one of those that goes like this: To live authentically means you are living as you believe is authentic.
Authentic: (adj)
-of undisputed origin; genuine.
-comprising the notes lying between the principal note or final and the note an octave higher.
I don’t think either of these fit calling yourself something that does not fit with biological reality just because you feel differently.
Funny, someone on Twitter just asked me the same question.
I wrote a recent Free Inquiry column on the idea. I think it’s complete bullshit.
Really? When a male person takes a spot on a team, or competes against a female person, no one is hurt? What about the female person?
Obviously she doesn’t matter.
It’s a fucking deepity. It sounds deep and means…nothing.
To live authentically means to breathe, eat, sleep, have a pulse, not be a robot or an android, etc. Plenty of authentically living people are hurt by other authentically living people.
What a bag of manipulative shite!
Maybe the only people actually capable of living authentically are trans. The rest of us are happy with our assigned gender roles, while the rebellious, brave and stunning trans people are actually TRUE TO THEMSELVES, not just bumbling along like the rest of us in the boring, conventional, non-glittery lives to which we were consigned at birth.
Speak for yourself. I was consigned to glitter and glamour, and chose to be boring, conventional, and non-glittery.
Trans-glamour?
If they really and truly believe that having a male body doesn’t confer an athletic advantage over a female body, then why aren’t they campaigning for an end to sexual segregation in sports altogether? From their point of view, women’s sports must be an entirely useless concept all the way down at the core, right? If they believe trans men can compete fairly against women, then women must also be able to compete fairly against non-trans men. So why have women’s sports at all? And why are they trying to hard to be included in something they must necessarily believe is an outdated concept?
It’s not about running.
It’s not about competing.
It’s about winning.
Nobody is stopping them from running. They want to dictate the terms under which they can run, compete and win. If they weren’t winning, nobody would really care, and I’m pretty sure if they weren’t winning, they wouldn’t be “identifying” as girls. Didn’t they run in the boys division and end up much lower in the standings? Well then. They ran. They competed. They didn’t win. Too bad. Tough shit. Suck it up. Welcome to the world of most people everywhere who compete in any and all sports. Most competitors don’t win. That’s just the way it goes.
One thing some of them are claiming is that it is all about testosterone. We don’t know all the effects of testosterone at this point, but the claim is that by taking estrogen they can reduce their testosterone levels down to that of a female, so that the bigger, stronger body doesn’t matter.
The rest of them just seem to believe there is some sort of magic about calling yourself a girl.
Some people certainly are hoping for, if not actively campaigning for, the end of sex-segregated sports altogether. The people I know who do this selectively point to the rare success of girls competing against boys in high school sports, and the occasional success of women in men’s sports: professional baseball, golf, tennis, or American football. I used to think this myself, until I developed a better appreciation of the purpose of women’s sports.
Even if performance were equal, there is value in having women’s sports. Chess has sex divisions, which allows a smaller pool of women to participate in the prizes, but I have trouble imagining a performance advantage for males. (I haven’t heard of transwomen clamoring to join women’s chess divisions; perhaps because they have no advantages except a smaller pool?)
It does begin to look, sadly, like a lot of the goal of the trans-girls in sports is to assert physical dominance over the lesser women – lesser, because we are women without penises, I suppose.
I have to say, I’ve never regretted not having a penis.
