Fake emergency
This is a critical moment for the rule of law. If there is a legal justification for a declaration of emergency, the Office of Legal Counsel should publicly release a full legal opinion before any action is taken. Or resign. https://t.co/bDlysbHhLY

Secretary of State Pompeo tells King Abdullah of Jordan he saw an early draft of the president's address to the nation tonight: "He'll make a lot of news," and then laughed. pic.twitter.com/dEgRIklvYm

Hahahaha national emergency hahahahahahaha this is all so hilarious.
Now would be a really good time for @MittRomney to round up a few R's and step forward to say a declaration of emergency would be egregious violation of Constitution and sep of powers

Why is @POTUS even doing a Prime Time Trump address? Because @realDonaldTrump is losing. He doesn't have public sentiment behind him, or the facts, or the votes. None of that changes after he finishes reading from the teleprompter tonight. https://t.co/wPejN1L9xu

I’ve been on the Intelligence Committee for over 10 years. On terrorism and other threats, I’ve received more briefings from FBI, CIA, and DHS than I could count.
How many times have any of them said we need a wall across the southern border?
Zero.

Yeah, but Trump knows things. Also, he’s had the lived experience of having undocumented immigrants working for him. There’s no arguing with that.
The image that just came to my head is of Alistair Sim at the end of “Scrooge” chanting “I don’t know anything. I never did known anything. But now I know I don’t know anything.”
I would give real money to hear that from Trump. You get him to say that, you name the charity, I give them, oh, I don’t know, $1000? I guess that’s safe money, though.
But he has to really say it, not just weird put together stuff using digital technology.
Yes, safe money. I think he’d rather die and decrease the surplus population than admit error or ignorance. I don’t know who he thinks he’s fooling. Surely he knows on the inside that he’s (at least sometimes) full of shit. Are narcissists that far gone that they can’t even tell when they’re lying to themselves?
You mean like covfefe or smocking?
*Watch that scene and keep your eyes on the mirror in Scrooge’s room…
He’ll go off-script and be praising himself to the rafters within two minutes of the broadcast starting.
