“Everything!”
What is he, six?
….call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again. With that being said, my full answer is rarely played by the Fake News Media. They purposely leave out the part that matters.

“You leave stuff on the floor too! You leave the chairs on the floor, and the table, and the rug – you should get all your stuff off the floor too! Waaaaaaaah!”
Yes, Don, we know you talk to foreign governments. (By the way the royals are not that. You can talk to all the Romanovs you like.) The issue wasn’t talking tout court, and we’re not so stupid that we’re going to believe you think it was. The issue was “oppo research” – your words, buddy – from foreign governments. You know this, we know this, everyone knows this. You make yourself look even stupider with this shit. You also make yourself look conscious of guilt, telling such absurd whoppers.
Updating to add a requested screen grab.

And what’s with putting foreign governments in sneer quotes? Is he suggesting these people really work for us, and he’s revealing the charade of them thinking they are “foreign governments”? Or is he, like always, scattering around quotes because he has no clue how to write a complete, coherent sentence, so he sticks stuff in that isn’t needed? Do I need ask?
I’m not altogether certain that a state visit under the eyes of the world is quite the same thing as shacking up in a hotel room with agents of a foreign power to discuss how they can win the election for you. It just seems kind of different somehow, I can’t quite put my fucking finger on it.
On a barely-related note: I’m betting that the older ‘royals’ actually do love Trump in principle. He behaves exactly like they do. In practice, however, there’s the business of ancestry, upon which they place great importance. Although.. wasn’t Trump’s grandfather German too?
IT ALL FITS.
“I would never be trusted again”!
I’m crying here.
latsot, I don’t have any particular insight into the royals’ thinking, but in my opinion, Trump behaves exactly like the “new money” that the aristocracy always resented. Flaunting his money, splashing his name everywhere, grasping for every penny, maintaining vulgar habits like noshing on Big Macs, speaking crudely and insultingly, and without any sense of noblesse oblige (Trump’s charity efforts are transparently bullshit). I’m sure the royals have learned to strategically leak to the press, too, but I have a hard time imagining any of them inventing a fake persona to call up the tabloids and brag about their latest sexual conquests.)
@Screechy:
Our royals appear to act in more or less exactly the same way as Trump, except that they know which forks to use. Look at literally anything the “prince” Philip has ever said. Charlie says different things but is exactly as impervious to evidence as is Trump. They probably got on like a house on fire. By which I mean they delightedly warmed their hands on the staff they lit on fire because they were a bit chilly. They have a lot more in common than the press likes to admit.
The obvious difference being that your royals don’t have much in the way of political power.
And in defense of Chuckles, he’s right about global warming. (Also, you’ve got to feel a bit sorry for a guy who’s been preparing for one job all his life and long after retirement age still hasn’t gotten it.)
Please, somebody tell me they got a screenshot of Trump’s tweet today referencing the ‘Prince of Whales’, before he deleted it and re-posted with ‘Wales’.
Oh, of course they did. I saw several.
I can’t agree that we have to feel a bit sorry for Choss because his PoWship is going on so long. What does this mean in practice? He gets container ships of money for doing sweet fuck all, he gets to write opinion pieces for the quality press simply by offering, he gets to make people listen to his blimpish opinionating, he can travel almost anywhere he likes, he doesn’t have to do any actual work…I could go on.
