Damage control
The mother of a “Drag Kid” is shocked, shocked, that anyone would sexualize her son.
If you really think this mother is surprised, then you have been fooled. No, this mother who has overseen the extreme sexualization & grooming of her son is likely now doing damage control. https://t.co/juh0rcQgDU via @gaystarnews

What could possibly cause anyone to sexualize a Drag Kid? How is sex even relevant?

CBC? Any thoughts?
This Jon K. Uhler appears to believe that adult drag queens are “deviant men” and “predators” who wish to “hunt for young flesh, to groom their minds & steal their innocence”, are into child porn and are, in fact, full-blown pedophiles. He also says, “Virtually all kids who wrestle w/ sexuality or sexual confusion have been groomed or sexually violated by a Predator.” … Really, Jon?
Also, his use of stock photos is really annoying and harmful to what good he is trying to accomplish.
Does he? I take him to be saying it’s absurd to assume that “Drag Kids” won’t be like a dinner bell to predators. That’s not the same as saying drag queens in general are predators is it?
Hmmm. I see from his Facebook profile that he studied at Biola. You may be right.
The quotes I used are from his Twitter account, right at or pretty near the top. As an example, his stance appears to be that Drag Queen Story Hours are simply and only a means for pedophiles and predators to get to children.
The “Drag Kids” dinner bell is, as the kids once said, “totes obvs”, but this Mr. Uhler takes things too far, I think.
I know through a friend of mine that by and large, the drag scene is not a nest of closet paedophiles angling for a chance at children, nor are they closet rapists looking for adult victims. However, if we had to imagine a great way for a paedophile to have socially acceptable access to children in a sexualised environment, I doubt we could come up with anything that could beat Drag Kid.
Also, I noticed on reading through the further posts in that linked series that Uhler appears to have accepted an obvious sham post at face value. (The tweet beginning “Some will try to protest such fact-based assertions…”)
Are we really going to go “Not All Drag Queens” here? Surely that is obvious by now?
Not All Drag Queens
Not All Priests
Not All Transwomen
Not All Men
We know that predators like to hide in the herd, and that the herd only makes it easier for them when they get defensive about people pointing out that they are present.
tiggerthewing – applause. Loud applause. For pointing out what needs to be pointed out.
If you have a 10-year-old boy, and he’s dressing as a an exaggerated stereotype of a woman, going by the name “Queen Lactacia”, and posing for photographs with naked men, it’s safe to say you’ve failed as a parent. We can argue over where exactly the line was crossed, but it was crossed.
Two drag queens who read for Houston’s drag queen story hour being exposed as convicted child sex offenders is alarming. But I guess it’s important to teach young children to be accepting of men dressing as exaggerated stereotypes of women, so best for all the parents to soldier on and keep bringing their kids.
If the child wanted to dance, aren’t there less fraught forms of dance (jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet? Even Morris dancing) that the mother could have encouraged him to pursue?
