A long way, baby
Pressed on why he won't say MBS was responsible for Khashoggi's murder even though his intelligence community has, Trump says "I cannot comment on intelligence" and goes on to commend Saudi Arabia for doing "a great job from the standpoint of women." pic.twitter.com/LvqECtdMm8

Yes, he really does say that.
Now let me guess what in particular he had in mind. Maybe he had some tips for Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the art of pussygrabbing right through the barrier offered by the folds of a bourker, niquab or hijab. Or maybe they both compared notes on that subject.
More likely, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is thinking of allowing a favourite wife to ride in the passenge seat alongside her husband, instead of having to join the other three in the back.
Times are definitely changing.
‘I cannot comment on intelligence’. That’s some accidental self-awareness right there.
@2, it’s certainly weapon grade irony. I’m surprised Trump hasn’t suffered a lethal dose by now.

Trump is immune to irony. It’s an effect of the lack of self-awareness.
It’s true, from the standpoint of Melania and Ivanka, Saudi Arabia is doing a great job.
What he means by standpoint of women is that Saudi Arabia has managed to keep women from being intrusive into places where men might hang out…they’re doing a great job keeping women oppressed, as they should be…the way Trump wishes we would be. Submissive and obedient.
And when the women dare to act out, as they inevitably do, Saudi Arabia knows how to deal with that, too! If lashes aren’t enough, murder will soon take care of those pesky women.
Is the standpoint of women the same as the standpoint of water? In other words, the point of view of something that cannot possibly have a point of view?
