432 to 202
So that’s a big NO to Theresa May and her particular Brexit plan. Unfortunately a second referendum is not the only other option.
Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal has been rejected by 230 votes – the largest defeat for a sitting government in history.
MPs voted by 432 votes to 202 to reject the deal, which sets out the terms of Britain’s exit from the EU on 29 March.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has now tabled a vote of no confidence in the government, which could trigger a general election.
The confidence vote is expected to be held at about 1900 GMT on Wednesday.
Putin is no doubt hugging himself with glee.
Perhaps he sees the way is clear now to total world domination. Perhaps Germany will rescue the world from its own folly…
Oh, and pardon my rogue apostrophe. It sneaked in while I wasn’t looking! I keep shutting the door, but apostrophes are small and just slip underneath.
Heh everybody does those. They’re inevitable. We’re only human!
And since Corbyn is a misogynist creep, him getting elected would hurt real women in UK. And he is an idiot, so Corbyn winning would make Putin do a dance of joy.
When I saw the title of this post, my first thought was that it was about http status codes. I need a holiday already.

Hmm. I see criticisms of Corbyn like this, and also of anti-semitism, all the time – but never with any examples.
@Holms:
I think this claim usually comes from the time when he appeared to mouth the words “stupid woman”. i’m not sure why that would be in and of itself an indication of misogyny even if that’s what he actually said. I don’t know of any other examples.
A second referendum is not even the most likely option. If Parliament continues to fail to do anything for the next two months then the UK crashes out of the EU with no deal and maximum chaos.
I imagine, at this point, Putin will open his champagne.
“Misogynist creep” is at best a wild exaggeration. But i’m not even sure what there is to exaggurate. Corbyn’s record on women’s rights and gender equality is very good: https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/tim-farron-theresa-may-jeremy-corbyn-voted-womens-issues/
Weird that he’s coming in for critism. The conservative party (described by a UN rapporteur to be imposing misogynistic policies on the UK) has been in power since 2010, in which time it brought about the EU referendum, tried and failed to campign for remain, and tried and failed to negotiate a Brexit deal. We now have a constitutional crisis because of their failures over successive governments. No british government has ever lost a vote as badly as this one.
Corbyn has obviously played a part in the events of recent years, but surely this is a moment to be pointing out the shocking failures of leadership on the government side.
