So what did this guy do for a living?

What I’m saying. Did he think they’d be cool with it if he lied to them?!
I feel bad for this poor, uneducated rube the FBI agents entrapped in this way. How could this schmo possibly understand the national security apparatus he was up against?
So. What did this guy do for a living?

Yes, Michael Cohen was Trump's personal lawyer, but more recently he was Deputy Finance Chair of the Republican National Committee. The Deputy Finance Chair of the RNC was just sentenced to 3 years in prison for felonies committed during the 2016 presidential election campaign.

Michael Cohen made the right decision to cooperate with the Special Counsel’s office. His sentencing today demonstrates that nobody is above the law.
Not the personal lawyer to the President of the United States.
Or the President himself.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, bub.
I suppose at some level it all makes sense. These guys do nothing BUT tell lies. All day long every day. Aggressive lying, Belligerent lying. Shameless lying. It’s the 24 hour bullshit channel. It’s been going on for 2 years (since ’97 if they worked for Fox). And there have been f-all consequences for it since the base doesn’t care. The fundis don’t care because, well, lying to protect a blastocyst is holy before God or some such. And congressional republicans don’t care either, because they’re professional liars too. To now be told that some lying actually is against the law seems capricious to them I suppose.
