Sarah Sanders says the FBI “ambushed” Flynn
It is so damn galling to hear the WH press secretary attacking the FBI for doing its job and catching a criminal in the act rather than being mad at the criminal who lied not just to the FBI, but supposedly also to people in the WH.

During the White House press briefing, a reporter asked White House press secretary Sarah Sanders to clarify if the White House was disputing that Flynn “is a liar.”
“We’re disputing any actions he engaged in had nothing to do with the President. Just because, maybe he did do those things, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the President directly,” Sanders said.
Sanders also said she would not like to revisit her Fox News comments asserting that Flynn was “ambushed” by the FBI during an interview with him in 2017.
At Flynn’s sentencing hearing on Tuesday, he said he knew lying to federal investigators was illegal and accepted responsibility for his crimes.
“No. We still firmly believe — look the things that may have taken place, again, that’s for the judge to make that determination, whether he engaged in anything inappropriate. What we do know that was inappropriate by the … self-admittance of (fired FBI Director) James Comey is that the FBI broke standard protocol in the way that they came in and ambushed Gen. Flynn and in the way that they questioned him and in the way that they encouraged not to have White House counsel’s office present. And we know that because James Comey told us that and he said the very reason that they did it was because … they thought they could get away with it,” Sanders said, adding, “We don’t have any reason to walk that back.”
She sounds like a mobster’s flunky.
Why at this point does anyone one give a shit about what Sanders says?
Because she’s helping Trump lie to us all.
Sarah Sanders, the gangsters moll.
Somehow I doubt she would so vigorously defend a young black drug dealer caught lying to the FBI about something the FBI already knew.
This is such a convoluted sentence; it sounds almost like she’s disputing anyone who says any actions he did were not involving the president, which I suspect is the opposite of what she meant to say.
How does someone get to be a press secretary for the highest office in the land when her syntax is so poor? When she struggles to construct a coherent sentence? Oh, wait, she works for Trump. Never mind.
Iknklast, that sentance is only convoluted if you try and interpret it as you know she actually meant it – in other words denying any link between Flynn’s actions and the President. If you just accept it as stated, she is very clearly saying that actually the actions and the President are related. For once I believe her.
Do you think that once this is all sorted out, Elmira Huckabee Sanders will go back to bullying poor little kids that are featured in her evangelical kiddies show?
That last paragraph reads so much like a teenager trying to wriggle out of trouble that I expected it to end with “Oh my God! It’s so unfair! I HATE YOU!”
