Here we go
Word is Rosenstein is either about to be fired or about to resign.
If the @nytimes is "fake news", why is @realDonaldTrump firing Rosenstein based on a story in the @nytimes ?

Now is the time for all the Republicans who said there was no need to pass legislation to protect Mueller to stand the hell up.

Under no circumstances should Rod Rosenstein resign. This would place the Mueller investigation in even greater jeopardy. Rosenstein should continue to do his job, protect the independence of the DOJ, and if the President intends to obstruct justice, force Trump to fire him.

Correction: word is he has resigned.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the official in charge of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, has verbally resigned to White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, according to one person familiar with the matter.
The resignation was delivered to Kelly late last week, but it’s unclear whether Rosenstein is planning to follow through with a formal resignation, the person said. A second person said that Rosenstein isn’t expected to be in the job after Monday.
So in other words the Times helped Trump fire Rosenstein. Brilliant.
This is the long-dreaded coup.
The Times spent so much time helping elect Trump with the relentless election coverage (and so focused on Hillary’s failings), why shouldn’t they help him stay in office? He sells papers.
Never mind that their role is supposed to be truth telling. They don’t seem to care about that anymore. It’s all about money.
