Yes, that’s one – children taking serious drugs with no adult participation.
I suspect years from now we’re going to have a spate of “why did people let me do this?” stories from young adults with atypically developed bodies.
And possibly lawsuits against people like Genuinely Evil Zinnia Jones and the pharmacy (or whatever) she’s promoting.
Bububut Zinnia is such a delicate flower …
That is appalling. Self-diagnosis and treatment are dangerous enough for well-informed adults; for children drunk on Tumblr memes and Twitter mobs, it’s downright catastrophic.

I am absolutely sick of this ridiculous idea that anything and everything not 100% supportive of every word they say is literally fatal to trans people. It’s nothing but childish emotional blackmail.
I’ll tell you what can be, and very often is literally fatal; taking unprescribed black-market medications bought from nameless suppliers on the internet, with no idea what’s in them or even if they’ve passed the regulatory tests (hint: usually not) that legitimate treatments are subject to.
I think perhaps she is correct with the “genuinely evil” part of her name.

Yeah, heads male, tails female. The fact that the coin landed on heads for all the people with physical traits more representative of fathers than mothers and vice versa? Pure coincidence!
That any non-conforming kid may be sandbagged into believing they are a mismatch from their ‘real’ gender is just barbaric. Yes, there is a tradition of oppression and violence against young, and especially minority, trans women. But that is a subcategory of violence and oppression against WOMEN.
You can’t proclaim ‘fluidity’ and ‘choice’ out of one side of your mouth while enforcing brutal gender essentialism out the other. Oh…they can and do.
And, blocking puberty won’t ‘correct’ your gender either. Just hold you in gender-limbo.
It is a package together with the view that attempts to take the non-conforming kid and force them into conformity. It forces girls into pink, tea sets, and dolls, while forcing boys into blue, cars, and guns. So it becomes natural that a girl who likes cars and guns, and hates pink, thinks she is rightly a boy. A boy who likes pink, and would rather have a tea party with dolls than play GI Joe and Rambo begins to think he is rightly a girl.
It’s society that’s messed up, not kids who don’t fit into the conveniently labeled box. I can’t say that I really feel female as female is described in our “archetypes” (pace Jordan Peterson), but that doesn’t mean I cannot be female in my own way.
