Can’t somebody just arrest NBC?
Trump went to Las Vegas yesterday and had just the best time! It was so much fun.
So wonderful to be in Las Vegas yesterday and meet with people, from police to doctors to the victims themselves, who I will never forget!

But now he’s back home and wondering why the government isn’t doing its job and telling the news media what they can say.
Why Isn't the Senate Intel Committee looking into the Fake News Networks in OUR country to see why so much of our news is just made up-FAKE!

Also he thinks he can know with certainty what a particular person never said.
Rex Tillerson never threatened to resign. This is Fake News put out by @NBCNews. Low news and reporting standards. No verification from me.

I’m guessing Tillerson will be gone in a matter of days not weeks.
This is a good sign. The chaos monkey is aware of other news outlets besides fair and balanced fox.
Also, I guarantee Trump met with megawealthy people too while in Vegas, probably first. Normal people meet with victims, then police and medics. Maybe he did, but he stated the way he is: an unempathetic narcissist.
Again with the peculiar choice of words. Just like “warmest” condolences, “wonderful” is a pretty weird way to describe meeting the victims and first responders to an appalling crime. It’s almost as if he feels absolutely nothing at all about their plight…
One name conspicuous by its absence in Trump’s roll call of heroes in Las Vegas is that of the unarmed hotel security guard who, despite being shot in the leg, stayed to guide police to the correct location of the shooter and provided them with pass keys to enable the police to clear the rest of that floor’s rooms quickly before moving in on the killer. His actions may have shortened the attack by minutes, potentially saving many lives.
Now, why wouldn’t Trump want to at least namecheck this brave man, a Mr. Jesus Campos?
“It’s almost as if he feels absolutely nothing at all about their plight…”
Bingo.
This is just another set piece, like the recent hurricanes, for Trump to pretend to be presidential. Everyone else is either audience or extra in the Trump remake of The Greatest Story Ever Told. The movie playing in his head is probably a lot better than the tawdry show we are witness to, but I wouldn’t watch it for a billion dollars, because that billion would not begin to cover the cost of the oceans of brain bleach I would need to burn those images out of my skull.
Trump is his own life-size cardboard cutout. All appearance and no substance or empathy. He’s playing a role and playing it poorly. His statements are meaningless boilerplate delivered without genuine feeling or inspiration, never rising above his natural, permanent smugness. He has a vague idea of things he’s supposed to do. He’s going through the motions but not understanding the part he’s supposed to play at all. He’s seen pictures of other presidents visiting disaster areas. He can do that! He can show up!! He’s got a plane!!! And like other presidents he can meet with victims and survivors. But he cannot encourage them or console them or grieve with them. Showing up is less than half the job. He is there but he is not present. He has no comprehension that dedicating a golf trophy does sweet fuck all in the face of tragedy. Not exactly the greatest moment in noblesse oblige.
I think to feel for others you have to have both empathy and some sense of self awareness. Trump has neither. Tweeting shows us the real Trump. Those are his interests and priorities. Shallow through and through. The world and all the people in it are just one big backdrop for him to parade and preen in front of.
Welcome to the Neverending Selfie.
