Call your office, sir
Another abusive Trump lie mocked.
The failing @nytimes writes false story after false story about me. They don't even call to verify the facts of a story. A Fake News Joke!

Call your office, sir. @nytimes spoke to many, many, many members of your staff yesterday – & ran everything by your team. https://t.co/wXz9cmb3hZ

I don’t think we’ve ever had a president who lied so openly and shamelessly and frequently and repeatedly. In fact it may be logistically impossible for us to have had such a thing, since Twitter was founded in 2006 and Bush and Obama used it only sparingly (and formally). Before Twitter there was no medium to lie this openly and repeatedly. Nixon may for all I know have told more lies in total, or more on a daily basis, but he didn’t also do it so openly, because he had no mechanism to do it that way. He could have given multiple press conferences every day but that would have been weird. No, Twitter is unique this way, and Trump loves him some Twitter.
He degrades himself and us every day with this childish lying.
How much more of this do we have to take. It’s soul-crushing.
It is. I am so tired of it. So despairing of ever recognizing the US again. So sick of Trump’s lies and complaints and insults. So sick of him doing NOT ONE THING that takes work.
What a huge toxic loser he is.
Fake news, of course, _does_ exist…
… as disinformation contributed to getting Trump elected in the first place, and together with his own growing tapestry of flagrant dishonesty, remains key to keeping him (so far) in power. Say, Donnie, you and your proxies, you want to lie again about how involved was the review process for ACA, make sure your low-information supporters continue to think your deeply fictionalized account of a bill passed ‘in secret’ (nope) somehow justifies McConnell’s ongoing over-the-top obfuscatory efforts to pass a cruel, costly travesty throw together like the proverbial last minute essay by a procrastinating, poor student in flagrant violation of the simple, ethical requirement one governs responsibly? Tell us another one about how Obamacare is ‘collapsing’, and never mind who’s doing his best to sabotage it, push it over the edge with his tiny, orange fists, oh please.
Donnie _swims_ in an ocean of fake news, and does his own little part, relaying the Fox Disinformatoin Network’s communiques systematically and continually to his pocketed audience, day in, day out…
… but hey, the fact that he continually attempts to hijack the term ‘fake news’ to mean, rather, ‘things I do not want reported’ has a certain perverse quality, I guess, anyway.
And Josh, guessing your question is rhetorical, still, dammit, hang in there. The _majority_ of you who voted against this toxic, lying clown deserve better. He _will_ be gone, sooner or later, one way or another. Outlast the useless bastard, however you have to.
I was around in Nixon’s day and I’d be willing to bet my entire bank account he wouldn’t have lied like the Orange Dogpile even if he’d had Twitter.
He wasn’t stupid.
Indeed, Nixon spent his retirement writing books of his own and other contemporary history; they weren’t as well-regarded as Churchill’s, but they wwere many pages of well-collected, cogent, lucid prose. Imagine Donnie Dumbo trying the same.
How about we call fake news what it is: trump news.
