Absolutely no effect
Trump continues to announce as fact – even in official statements that are obviously by written by someone else (who knows how to write) – things he doesn’t and can’t possibly know.
President-elect Donald J. Trump acknowledged the possibility on Friday that Russia had hacked a variety of American targets, including the Democratic National Committee, after an almost two-hour meeting with the nation’s top intelligence officials.
Mr. Trump asserted that the hacking had no effect on the outcome of the election.
That. He can’t know that.
If he weren’t so stupid, he would realize how stupid it makes him look to make such ridiculous claims. But he is, so he doesn’t.
In a statement issued after the president-elect was briefed by senior American intelligence and law enforcement officials, Mr. Trump said: “While Russia, China, other countries, outside groups and people are consistently trying to break through the cyber infrastructure of our governmental institutions, businesses and organizations including the Democrat National Committee, there was absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election including the fact that there was no tampering whatsoever with voting machines.”
He not only states it, he overstates it. “Absolutely no effect” – how the fuck would he know that? He wouldn’t, of course, and he doesn’t, yet he says it, thus revealing yet again what a thicko he is.
It brings me out in a rash, this kind of brainless confidence of knowing things one can’t possibly know.
No effect. Of course. I had students who were planning to vote for Hillary. They heard the reports from the leaks, and, OMG, they couldn’t stand to vote for that dishonest, crooked, lying woman. They voted for Stein or Johnson instead.
That being said, this state would have gone to DJT even if those individuals had voted for Hillary, but I think it’s quite reasonable to assume that they are not singular and unusual in their response.
That being anecdotal evidence, it is in a sense worthless. But…it’s worth as much as the stuff DJT is spewing.
If there was “absolutely no effect”, then the victory is his, all his. I wonder how much of his resistance to the findings that Russia was monkeywrenching the election because it diminishes his achievement rather than because Putin is his pal. His internal narrative depends upon his own efforts with no help from anybody. He needs his “landslide”, and in his mind, his landslide keeps getting bigger and bigger. Funny how he’s so confidant there was no messing with voting machines and equally confident there was massive voter fraud from illegal immigrants, giving Clinton the popular vote.
I wonder, Inklast, if they refused to vote for the dishonest, crooked, lying WOMAN. So they voted for the anti-vaxxer and the bozo who didn’t know what an Aleppo was. (Slow clap) Bravo. So integrity. Much pure. Well, now they have a dishonest, crooked, lying MAN lording it over them for the next four years.
Well, to be honest, these students also didn’t know what Aleppo was, and probably knew only what I had told them of anti-vaxxers (fortunately, that is not a big thing in this part of the country). They felt they had total integrity because they voted against the establishment. And the main answer they would give when anyone asked them why: “Hillary deleted e-mails”. Did they know anything about those e-mails? No, not for the most part. For all they know, it could be the same sort of e-mails I delete every day, the endless avalanche of spam that invades my inbox hourly. They didn’t know what a Benghazi was, either, but they knew it was bad, and it was Hillary’s fault. So…no, no effect at all.
Well done, Donny. Now you’ve learnt the names of two countries that don’t border the USA (and realised that there are even more). Well, he’s only learnt one really. He already knew China from the labels in his crappy clothes.
