See the Nazi salutes
The Atlantic has video of that talk Richard B. Spencer gave at the neo-Nazi meeting Saturday evening after most of the journalists had left.
I hit the stop button after he said “It’s not just that they are leftists and cucks. It’s not just that they are stupid.” That’s 50 seconds in.
It’s only a few men in a room. But…they’re connected to the next president.
Yuck. They don’t even bother hiding behind their secret code words and tattoos now.
An off-topic question: Why does ‘heil’ gets translated to ‘hail’ in English? I was told, by German friends, that it referred to ‘salvation’. ‘Sieg heil’ meaning salvation through victory, or words to that effect. ‘Ski heil’ is still used in cross-country skiing as a passing greeting meaning ‘healthy/safe skiing’.
Right near the end a guy sitting at the rear of the hall, in front of the camera gives a nazi salute. A moment later another guy runs up and claps him on the shoulder. He appears to be praising him for giving the salute…
Fuck
English is a Germanic language, and our word “hail” comes from German. Google says “heil” means (among other things) “safely.” The English “hail” meant something like “safe(ty)” or “health(y),” cognate with “hale.” “Hail to the King!” You can see how the word became a greeting.
