The initial event was appalling, not to mention difficult to explain as anything but racial profiling followed by doubling down (shit on that letter from the school principal). However the flood of support and invites since has been very nice to see. I hope Ahmed can take up at least some of them.
Did you see the debates last night? This was brought up in reference to the proposals of the Republicans. They were basically being asked to condemn the arresting of Ahmed and speak against those policies; they didn’t. They talked about something else, instead, even with the moderator trying to bring it back and get them to say flat out that this is a bad policy.
