Keep commenting
I think I may have accidentally deleted some authentic comments…accidentally by accident don’t you know. Don’t be discouraged if I dropped anything of yours, don’t go away, comment again. In particular I think there was one with “Indian philosophers” in the email address – which I unchecked so that it wouldn’t be deleted, but it was anyway. I wish it hadn’t been. Anyway, I’ll stop bumbling before too long. Though not today…I’m hungry…
Yes ma’am.
You don’t seem to have a favicon, folks… Of such weighty matters is the internet made…
Given my graphic skills, it’s a wonder we even have a banner image. But, yeah, a favicon. I think I can do that.
Aw, a butterfly with a broken wing, how symbolic is that?
Ophelia, what did you eat? I’m on pins and needles.
I’m guessing sandwich.
I just ate waffles. They were cinnamon.
Mmph. A collection of random things, more or less – some brown rice with cheese and green peas, various vegetables, that kind of thing. Then as evening drew on, various small increments of dessert-type items. I decline to elaborate further.
Since this is more or less an open comment thread – I’ll bite! I think the Florida Transit decision to remove ads offering refuge to those being victimised by Islam is really objectionable. They’ve got ads already advertising Islamic submision, a submission which victimises countless people around the world. Just because the Coucil for Islamic American relationships finds the ads offensive isn’t a good reason to censor them. In fact, it’s a reason to keep them up. What is freedom for if it’s only to make anodyne statements that no one is offended by. Actually, I am offended by the Islam bus ads. Should I complain? Perhaps we should Ophelia’s menu up on the buses. It’s far more interesting, and has the virtue of being something that no one knew about before!
I wanted to get up in arms about the censorship thing because I like free speech and stuff. Except that those bus ads were really hideous.
It is a crime against fashion to put them up. I’ll bet that’s what the bus companies were really thinking, not this political correctness stuff, more like “Ouch, a lens flare.”
I like the new look too… congrats.
When you say “Not today … I’m hungry….” does that mean you don’t eat every day? EMNTK!
(EMNTK=Enquiring minds need to know.)
Hahahahaha – no – more like I try not to eat every hour. No it’s just that yesterday was busy and pulled in multiple directions and by the time I said that, I hadn’t eaten anything in hours and the sun was over the yardarm and I was miles from food and I was tired and I wanted to do more but I was just too damn hungry as well as screened-out.
Well, yes, I agree, the ads were certainly an eyesore – not something that someone seeking refuge would be likely to gravitate towards … still.
Did anyone see the latest! The poor guy in Munich that was supposed to be the pope’s fall guy has said that he didn’t act ‘on his own responsibility,’ and seems very confused. So they’re sent him away for a holiday! Ha! The church trying to pull a fast one again. The pope daren’t say that he was wrong, even though he was again and again. Let’s arrest the bastard! Now we’ll see if the link feature works – or if I know how to use it!

No, it didn’t work the way I thought it would. The text should have read: “Was Munich’s Vicar General Forced to Serve as Ratzinger’s Scapegoat?”
Blue and green should never be seen – well – – only on B&W’s! Love the blue butterfly to bits.
Oh wait – its not green its turquoise! Aye – – the broken wheel/butterfly – must have been caused en-route the long distance journey from Britain to America.
Are blue and green supposed to be bad together? I quite like them together.
Speaking of making changes accidentally by accident… I apologize if any of you have seen weird formatting changes or errors today. I’m trying to figure out why URLs in comments aren’t automatically being converted to links, and some of my testing has produced unpleasant side effects. This sort of thing should settle down soon, as I stop poking at things that almost work the way I want.
Ah right – there was a bit of weirdness just now. I figured it was something that would settle soon. Meanwhile, I’m blissful, with all this extra time thanks to everything being so much easier.
Just a quick test of commenting with Chrome, which I hadn’t tried yet.
Oy. It’s taking upwards of 20 seconds to post a comment. That seems awfully slow to me. I’ll see what I can do to speed that up.
OB:- If one adhered to the rigid principle of the rhyme ‘blue and green should never be seen – only on a fairy queen’. Well, then they definitely would not go together. Look here -is the image not beautiful!

Josh Larios, that is not the only thing that is slow. Clicking on several of the site links tend to be slow also. I am not complaining, just reporting it.
I’ve got some ideas for speeding up bits of the site that I’m going to implement today. If there are any particular links that are slow for you, though, please let me know which.
