Well that’s gratitude for you
Interesting. The producer of ‘Expelled’ interviews Richard Dawkins, Eugenie Scott, and PZ Myers for his movie, having misled all of them into thinking it was a movie about the conflict between ID and science as opposed to a pro-ID movie. Then he throws PZ out of the theatre before a screening of the movie. (He would have thrown Dawkins out too, of course, had he recognized him there in the line with PZ, but he didn’t, which certainly makes a good joke.) First he interviews PZ for the movie, then he expels him from the theater before he has a chance to see the movie he is in. I think Mark Mathis needs to take a refresher course in PR.
Oh, but it’s even worse. According to Christianity Today, Dawkins ‘crashed’ the screening, uninvited. The screening was directed ‘to invitation-only audiences at churches and for various Christian groups.’ So Dawkins gate-crashed the party! Here’s where to find that silly story:

I mean, really. These guys don’t just do stupid, they do it over and over and over again.
Actually, though, it’s even stupider than you think. THIS screening was not an invitation-only event like the one in Florida that a reporter crashed (which the blog post alluded to but for some reason didn’t link to). Anyone could sign up on the website, and both Drs. Myers and Dawkins did so – under their own names, without any deception whatsoever. No one noticed. But at the actual screening itself, the producer spotted Myers and flew into a tizzy and had him kicked out – failing to spot Richard Dawkins in his rush to eject the much less famous PZ Myers. PZ eventually shared all these details and then some on his blog – after a somewhat hasty and sketchy initial post, typed out between fits of chortling I imagine.
If you spend all your time and energy lying – to yourself as much as to everyone around you – it’s bound to have a negative impact on your basic mental processing, even down to the level of blowing ultra-obvious pragmatic decisions. This is why creationists are not only stupider than you imagine, they are stupider than you can imagine.
Yes, I should have made that clearer. I had actually just written a note to the Chritianity Today website asking why they were telling lies about Dawkins’ and Myers’ ‘crashing the ‘party’ so to speek. (I don’t think it was every put up.) But to expell someone from a movie which claims that ‘intellectuals’ are being expelled because of their beiefs really makes this thing one of the supidest things that the ID party has ever done, and they’ve done some pretty stupid things all round.
This has been a hoot, the initial posts from PZ and his crew were funny enough, but the ham-fisted attempts at spin by the creos just kept on giving.
